Thanks for the suggestion ... I tried that. The lightweight installer is the same installer that I was given when I purchased from Adobe Online. The problem arises when I launch the executable installer. It keeps hanging at about 13% complete. The most I have gotten through was 48%. Very unsatisfactory way of delivering a product. I have never experienced anything like is with any other vendor. Even Acrobat DC installs better via the Creative Cloud app!!

Hello Community I have today purchased Photoshop Elements 2020 and have been trying (about 20 attempts now) to install it on my new Lenovo X1 Yoga. The installation keeps failing at around 13% - it's driving me nuts. No such problems installing Acrobat DC via the Creative Cloud app. I have turned off my firewall to see if that made a difference but no such luck. Any suggestions!?!? Cheers, John

Hello everyone I uninstalled Acrobat DC using the Creative Cloud app, rebooted my notebook and then reinstalled Acrobat DC using the CC app. So far so good, the problem seems to have gone away!

Hello everyone I too am experiencing this problem (running Acroabt DC on a Windows 10 Professional 64-bit HP Spectre X360 machine. Am just about to try uninstalling completely and reinstalling. Will let you know how it goes. Very disappointing that a product that costs at the top end of the market has so many flaws. Foxit is looking more attractive!!

I have installed the latest Acrobat DC update which finally appeared to support thumbnail previews in Windows Explorer in 64-bit systems. I selected the relevant option under Preferences\General but no change. New PDFs created had just the generic icon. Tried exiting the program, restarting Windows but no joy. I had installed Foxit as a workaround and so earlier created icons did have a preview. I had uninstalled Foxit when the update came through so it isn't on my notebook anymore. However, only previously created PDFs are showing a thumbnail preview. Any newly created PDFs are showing only the generic PDF icon. Does anyone have any ideas??
