CR2 files canon d6

on opening my raw CR2 files from my Canon D6 i find Elements 9 cannot process them

i cannot use my elements after two years of service, it keeps closing down ,cannot get to chat with enyone fro adobe a can anyone help ? @@ ??

i find on taking overlaping portrate photos as you do ,above a certain number 8 or 10 uninportant could be anything above 7 or 8 that the finished pan has missed out the last few pics and the pan is not complete what is the maximum number of shots for a full pan ????
