Sometimes I use a lot of different files in my work on a single project. When I try to open the project a window comes up but doesn't prompt me by asking where is the file (whichever one it asks for)? so I cannot find the specific file from my external drives to start the uploading of all the files in a project and that is my problem. My other iMac allows me to do this. I have re-instaled Premiere 10 but the same issue occurs. Thanks Steve

Hi I am trying to find mov files

I cannot get Premiere to ask "Where is the File .....(whatever)? on one of my iMacs but can on the other when I attempt to open an existing project. Therefore I do not know which file I need to locate. I have reinstalled Premiere but no joy so far!

Hi Steve Thanks for your quick response. The JVC is a GY-HM600E and the Canon is a XF200 and they are both 1920 x 1080 resolution. I do have Quicktime 7. Regards, Steve

I have been trying to mix files from a JVC and a Canon camera. The JVC saves the files as Mov and the Canon saves them as MP4. I use Premier Elements 10. If I use DSLR 1080i project settings the mov files are not best quality and if I use HD 1080i 25 project settings the mp4 files are not best quality. I have tried to convert the mov files to mp4 files using file converter but does not seem to improve the quality. Anyone have any ideas please?
