Hi, like may people I've been caught by the upgrade to Tahoe of my Mac so that PSE 21 no longer loads. I''m not sure if pressing on with Elements is the right thing for me but I had over 120k photos all carefully tagged, so in the short term I was loading the trial of 2026 to see what that was like. Unfortunately I'm getting an error when I try to convert my catalog. The message tells me to fix the error (no description) in the original software but obviously I can't do that. Without a response to my earlier post I'm considering just importing my 90k photos to my new version of Elements. However, in trying to test using import from files and folders I can't uncheck the 'copy files on import' option as it's greyed out. The photos need to stay where they are. Any suggestions?  ... Hi I've upgraded my Mac to a new version with the M1 processor. I've backed up the catalog from my previous Mac to import as the new catalog. My question is - the backup has created copies of jpg and raw files which I hadn't anticipated however I want the catalog to link to the original location of the files. Have I done something wrong in the steps to create the backup? And/or can I delete these unwanted files when I create the new catalog from the backup on my new Mac?  ... View more

How do you choose when you say 'yes' to this when there is 'property' in your image?   I've checked the Contributor agreement which only refers to 'certain distinctive property' and I understand the restrictions on some specific places and buildings (eg. National Trust properties). But if I have an image of say a bridge over a canal - that is pretty obviously 'recognizable property' but I'm not sure (from seeing what is being sold on Adobe Stock) that this is what the intention is. There are plenty of photos of towns and villages available as commercial images (without logos, trademarks) but with property which is reconizable.  Should I read 'Recognizable people or property?' to mean something more specific?      ... My photos are stored on an external drive which has failed. I have a new nas drive and have restored the files from a back up. I can't find how to reconnect the catalog to the new location. I've followed a variety of suggestions but nothing has worked. If I get to the screen which I think should fix it the option to reconnect drive is greyed out. I have tried the approach to 'reconnect files' but as you can see from the second screenshot it's only reconnecting about 1% of the photos. It will find one in a folder but not all of them. A further puzzle is that if I try to reconnect a single image I can't navigate to the folder on the nas drive as the dropdown (thrid image) only shows me local folders & I can't navigate to the external drive, even though it is connected, I can access it through finder and elements is finding a handful of image files.    I'm on a Mac with Elements 14 and 80k photos.    Any thoughts?      ... I have Elements 14 on a Mac (High Sierra 10.13.6). I've checked that Elements is up to date. When trying to import from 'camera / card reader' using an SD card in the Mac I'm constantly getting 'none detected' in source in the photo downloader, although my Mac can see the SD card in Finder. Any suggestions? I wondered if there are any constraints  on the SD card it will read as this is a new card (which works fine everywhere else). Thanks ... View more

I have just installed Photoshop CC and have Elements 14. If I try to change the default editing application to Photoshop (from Photoshop Elements Editor) it tells me I can't because it will do it automatically. But regardless, when I go to a photo to open the editor it will only open "Photoshop Elements Editor". Have already tried closing everything and reopening... Where am I going wrong? ... View more
