Here are the details: InDesign v 20.0.1 Mac, Monterey 12.7.6 Here are test files that demonstrate the issue: Public/non password protected example with internal and external hyperlinks that work as intended: https://indd.adobe.com/view/582409fb-8022-441d-9424-f0e875ef0ff6 Password protected example where the internal links do not work: https://indd.adobe.com/view/f517d005-3a75-450c-93f0-e37452a321ad There is no issue with a password-protected interactive PDF. There is animation in the real file which is why I'd hoped to post it to the Adobe server.

I have both exterior and interior hyperlinks in my document. Simple interior hyperlink such as, "see page 10" points to page 10. Everything works beautifully both in the interactive pdf, and when I publish online to the Adobe server ... until I make a password protected version of the file. External links still work but interior hyperlinks have all gone screwy. Totally unfunctional. I really need for the file to be protected. I'm guessing there's some sort of permissions issue ... when I open the file using the password I thought the links would continue to function normally. Am I missing something? Is this a known thing?

I'm having the issue too. I came here searching for a solution and also am finding results only from 2019. This issue has been happening for about a month, nearly every time I open or create a PDF (which is 30-40 times a day). Super frustrating. Adobe, please help Acrobat Pro DC, Big Sur 11.4

I am on Mojave as well and just fixed it! Instead of uninstalling from the Creative Cloud interface, I opened the Acrobat DC folder on my HD and used the Uninstaller from there, then went back to CC and clicked uninstall there as well (which finally worked); then re-installed the program and voila — my PDFs are displaying properly again. Hope this solves it for you too!

I have been having this exact issue for months. This happens even when colors are not used with transparency ... a simple cmyk build will show up as white in Acrobat. But if my client opens the file they can view it correctly, and when I open up the file with Safari browser it views correctly there too. I tried uninstalling Acrobat DC but every time CC says "Uninstallation Failed" so I can neither start fresh nor find a solution for this issue. Anyone have a solution yet?

I'm using InDesign 14.0.1 with Creative Cloud and am also experiencing severe slowdown. With regard to trashing the prefs, I'm unable to locate the two files you mention ... I held down option key, opened Preferences folder, but there isn't "Adobe InDesign" or "com.adobe.Indesign.plist". I do see "com.adobe.acc.AdobeCreativeCloud.plist" but am a little worried to delete this. Can you advise please?

I wonder if it might be a font / corruption issue. If it were me I'd try pouring the text into a new blank test document and try using a different font (if it lets you get that far) to see if the issue persists.

This feature is a serious headache for those of us who work on publications (medical or financial journals for example) that contain multiple articles, each with their own individual endnote lists that need to immediately follow the end of the text. There should absolutely be the option to turn this off as needed. The workaround I'm using until it gets solved involves stripping the endnotes from the Word file before importing into InDesign so that the app doesn't recognize the endnotes as such, and they stay in the same text box right where you want them. See NoteStripper on www.editorium.com. It isn't free but worth the small price if only for the time it has saved me.
