Hi Ben, your project on GitHub seems good but I no longer have the Wappler license since May 2019 and therefore I cannot test it. Mybe in the next months I'll reactivate the licence (for App projects where I think Wappler has a great future) and I will definitely take a look at your work. About @Birnou, I agree with you, let's see what DW Team will be able to do in the coming months. Anyway, I'm not the "Mike" of the post on the Wappler's community. If you are interested, ask to Teodor of DMXzone who is the user that criticized their product. P.S. In the project.json file of your GitHub work, you left the password and other details of the database connection, I know it refers to the local installation but maybe it would be better to hide them (sometimes we usually use the same credentials both locally and remote and the "hacker" are very careful with these details).

Well, Teodor (DMXzone) is absolutely right about one thing, "Tools like Dreamweaver are long gone". Now I hope that something is changing in the management/development of Dreamweaver and they give us finally a new tool, able to generate advanced web projects according to the market demands... but (as said from Wappler customer "Mike" in the Wappler's forum post) with the easy of use and "advanced" functionalities as it was in the days of InterAKT/Macromedia. About Wappler, I repeat that is a great tool but not for everything and everyone... anyway, I don't see similar products currently on the market so I hope it will soon reach the success hoped for by their developers. I know that they have a strange way of managing relationships with their customers, Teodor and George are very direct and, mostly, they don't like receive criticism (e.g. making the mistake of hiding posts on their forum that criticize their products)... but they are very capable in their work and they can offer truly exceptional assistance.

Ok but I haven't reported the Wappler post (that I consider a great tool but unfortunately for a small market niche... my opinion obviously) only to give my suggestion to which "path" the works of the new "server behaviours" should be focused "... in terms of ease of use and functionality". That's it

For the Database and Server behaviours I think you don't need to reinvent the wheel, just update to the new standards the old InterAKT (ADDT) solutions that you already own and Dreamweaver will return back to dominate its category as in the Macromedia's days (maybe with some new improvements as PWA support). For any considerations on which road to take, read this post on the Wappler forum where you can check how InterAKT's solutions are still appreciated (and used): https://community.wappler.io/t/why-at-this-time-we-are-not-renewing-our-wappler-subscription/16970 ------- Old we agree, need to change we agree, but you know what its works. Just have not found anything else that comes close to Kollections in terms of ease of use and functionality -------

Database and Server Behaviors will return back in the next version (fall 2020), at least that's what they said in the last "roadmap". I think it's a good news for the future of Dreamweaver... and proves that removing this feature in the past years has been a bad idea.

I think the problem with Dreamweaver is that in the last years has lost its identity, it's neither fish nor fowl. It's not a tool for web developers and neither for web designers (its original target when it was developed from Macromedia). It would be enough for the Dreamweaver's Team to go on the Wappler's forum to understand what people really want.

Hi Preran, please send a message to the developer team to remove jQuery Mobile/UI as mobile platform on Dreamweaver, this framework is discontinued from several years... anyway, a small bug is in the "indent" (preferences -> code format -> indent), not works. I suggest for the next version (as long as there is one in the timeline) to works on the new technologies support as PWA and/or more integration with Adobe XD. The latest years for Dreamweaver seem a path to the inevitable death. #RIPDreamweaver

Maybe you don't read carefully my (and others) posts (also on another forum, see last your discussion on Wappler website); about "... when one considered a career as a long term prospect..." I have a career and from 20+ years, I'm a web designer (UX/UI designer). I'm not a web developer because I don't have the skills (although over time I have acquired a good knowledge of various programming languages but not enough to consider me a coder) and this is the main reason because I used in these years Dreamweaver. So, I repeat my question... do you have a web site built from you where can I see the code?

You're lucky, you don't need Wappler/WordPress/Drupal/etc. Unfortunately I discovered that I was better as web graphic designer rather than programming, so I decided to focus on these topics. However, congratulations, having all the skills at the highest levels like you is not easy. Do you have any work on the web to show us so we can see a site really well done?

I'm discussing about Wappler project/idea, and I like it. Dreamweaver was born to allow people with low programming knowledge to build a full website, including all the necessary server behaviours. Now Adobe has completely changed its target audience (coders) and... I don't like it anymore. I'm a UX/UI designer but sometimes I need a tool as Wappler to build something with my creativity and with "database connection" without worrying too much of the php code.

Wappler is different from Pinegrow, Wix, Webflow etc... Wappler is the software that would probably have made Macromedia already several years ago if they had not been bought by the devil.

Perhaps they are worried about Wappler's growth (1000+ subscribers in just a few months) and are trying to recover the lost time in the last 10 years.

No, absolutely no progress. Adobe usually release only two updates yearly (March and June/July) before of the major upgrade (that correspond autumn of each year, Adobe Max), so we need to wait a lot of time (always that they are working about it). The only workaround for me is to switch to the previous version 2015 (the last stable version of Dreamweaver).

Hi, Adobe has fixed this issue on MacOS. ----------- Steps: Execute the below commands in the terminal with admin privileges: * cd “/Applications/Adobe Dreamweaver CC 2019/Adobe Dreamweaver CC 2019.app/Contents/Resources/node-core/” * sudo npm install fsevents ----------- ... Adobe still works on Dreamweaver (I had lost all hope), really good news!

https://forums.adobe.com/people/B+i+r+n+o+u ha scritto this principle of testing on multiple machines to which you refer, exists and is called the prerelease program. certainly it is quite conversational (some on this forum will tell you), but it is a space freely open to everyone, simply by having a CC account, and you can test on your own configuration and report all the bugs caused before that Adobe release a public version of the build In the DW Prerelease program there are the highest number of "we will find a fix in a future update" in the IT history. Adobe didn't even share a beta of 2019 before the final release and this says everything about the validity of this prerelease program.

ALsp ha scritto We are perfectionists, too. I looked at what DMX Zone is doing and surmised that it would take us a team of 6 full-time programmers and at least a year to produce a Dreamweaver alternative that would meet our quality standards, which are quite different from those of others 🙂 Yes I know about the high quality of your extensions and this is the main reason because I love your products. Another company that use a similar approach is WebAssist and this is the main reason because I suggest you to contact Ray Borduin, a tool with DataBridge integrated with all your products will be amazing. DMXzone not have the same qualitative approach in development but Wappler is very interesting and I think it will have a lot of success in the near future but with your products would be super-amazing! My two cents

Hi Al, I'm your customer from several years and I always loved your products but I suggest you to find an alternative to Dreamweaver because I think the end is very-very near (my opinion, of course). Maybe a good idea could be to create a standalone product (maybe finding a collaboration with WebAssist for the dynamic behaviours) or ask to DMXzone to open Wappler at external extensions.

I'm using a MacOS 10.14 with the latest version of Creative Cloud (DW 2019) but I've the same problem with a MacOS 10.13 and DW 2018. The issue is reproducible with the .php pages, instead with .html works good. It seems to me very similar with the "Apply source formatting" bug in the php pages: Apply source formatting not works good in the last version (2018) Honestly, I don't know what to think, every time you write me "we are not seeing this issue at our end" but this and other bugs are there from several years (at least since you launched 2017 version). So now kindly not ask me for a meeting to investigate about it, I'm a paying user and not an ACP and I think is necessary urgently for the Indian Office of Dreamweaver to have a working area with different pc/mac in order to be able to test all the conditions before releasing a product to the public (or at least release a beta on the prerelease forum before to lunch the final version). Now I already know what you will reply to me: "we will find a fix in a future update" ... and next year I'll reopen this post for the 2020 version

If the question is "Dreamweaver has the (visual) tools to build PWA?" the answer is "no". Obviously if you have advanced programming skills, you can use Dreamweaver as editor but at this point any development tool is fine. From several years Dreamweaver is not more the "swiss army knife" that allowed you to do advanced things without much programming knowledge. Also, consider that at the last Adobe Max for the first time Adobe didn't present anything for Dreamweaver... so, maybe (my opinion, of course) we're near to the EOL announcement. At the moment Dreamweaver seems to be a paid version of Adobe Brackets. I suggest you to see Wappler if you're searching a visual tool for PWA (I don't think this feature is already active but the developers have said they are working on it).

Nayan_Kankariya ha scritto You can also install the extensions by using Adobe ExMan Command Line Tool. I don't think that Al has problems installing the extensions, I think he is looking for a simple solution for his customers (and indirectly yours too). Adobe ExMan Command Line Tool is too complicate for an end user.
