In the "Prerelease Dreamweaver" forum, Adobe has claimed: ------ Thanks for your inputs. Although, there is no active development going on in Server Behavior and Databases panels, but i will still raise this with the team and reply back on this thread if there are any updates. ------ So, if you need to use server behaviours with Dreamweaver, you have only an option, downgrade to CS6. Adobe has decided in the last versions to remove everything that Macromedia had developed after the acquisition of Drumbeat (and InterAKT) and discouraged the activity of extensions development. I don't know the reasons but Wappler's success shows us that the users still want tools to generate dynamic content from databases without in-depth programming knowledge.

I'm testing Wappler as a beta user from several weeks and I confirm you that it could be a good alternative to Dreamweaver but... unfortunately it is still a long way from being a stable programme (I think we are still in a "Alpha version" phase) but in the next months maybe we could be close to the target... kill Dreamweaver

When I try to apply the source formatting to the php pages, the code show indent and spaces not necessary. Instead if I use the same process on a html page, the source code is formatted correctly. Is a bug or Dreamweaver (Adobe) consider PHP code in a different way? PHP page (source formatting wrong): HTML page (source formatting correct)

For "user facing features on Mac", please stop the development, you have already done enough damage since version 2017 onwards. I think the future for old (and faithful) DW's customers is Wappler from DMXzone. We need advanced tools to develop modern websites (included mobile apps), we are not interested in graphical variants as "welcome screen".

From the DMXzone's announcement: "Adobe Dreamweaver is turning more and more into a tool for hardcore coders and loosing its well-known visual abilities. It's also a truth that Dreamweaver's development has being way behind the latest web or mobile app developments." I think they are absolutely right! If Adobe doesn't change something quickly in the development of Dreamweaver, the future of this historic Macromedia's software is destined to an inevitable death. Great idea Teodor, but before I have to understand how much the service will cost (I don't think it will be free). Honestly I think that Dreamweaver with the latest versions (especially with the 2017) has taken the wrong path and the decision to no longer integrate a visual development tool (as it was with Adobe Developer Toolbox) or simply to update the "Server Behaviours", has made its use completely useless (there are a lot of free html/css editors open source much better than Dreamweaver). The only reason I haven't left Dreamweaver yet, are the PVII extensions.

I think the model to be taken as a comparison are "WordPress" (for the development) and "Themeforest" (for the "creativity"). My customers want to pay for something that remains available on their servers (and pay only once, when the work is delivered/completed), without the nightmare of interruptions, closures (very high when companies are small, such as DMXzone) or price changes over the years (typical of cloud services).

I just hope that it's not a cloud-based service (no further monthly/annual subscriptions). A powerful and intuitive tool/app to build easily and quickly advanced dynamic sites (how it was "Developer Toolbox"), but hosted on the own hosting plan (and included in the current annual/monthly DMXzone subscription).

Hello Ben, do you have problems with IE 11 bowser to visualise the data generate from DMXzone App Connect? Customers Dashboard Showcase On Edge is ok, on IE 11 (and also for Windows Phone App) not loaded nothing: UPDATE: DMXzone confimed the issue and will release a fix in the next days.

Hi Ben, thank you for your opinions! FYI, at the moment with the last App Connect, to show a dynamic section only if a recordset isn't empty, is possible only changing manually the code. These are the instructions received from the DMXzone tech support: -------- Select your div, then dynamic attributes > show. For the expression, select serverconnect.data.query and just add length to it so it becomes: serverconnect1.data.query1.length -------- The problem is that when I need to update the code, I need every time to remember the modification customised. I'm using DW to simplify the work and I need to have a panel (as the old server behaviour) that showing me all the behaviours in the page otherwise all becomes complicated (much better to work manually on the code, without extensions).

I know, this is an Adobe forum but... Adobe has removed server behaviours and killed InterAKT (Developer Toolbox) so I think that it's still a topic that could interests many DW's users. WordPress is a great tool but I think that develop a website without a "ready to use" CMS is still the best way, the best web workflow (especially for corporate websites). At the moment, DMXzone is the only company that offers a replacement of the old server behaviours but their extensions have many limitations. For example, isn't possible (or is very hard to understand how to do it) to set a simple "Show if the recordset is empty" and is necessary every time to open a ticket in the forum (great support but I'd like to do it alone and quickly). The DMXzone forum is another big problem. It's impossible to save images (screenshots) and to see the whole activity in the forums, is necessary open each forum individually (... and many times it's hard to remember in which forum you have posted the requests). Please DMXzone, see for an example WebAssist; they offer a great forum system with the possibility to see quickly the whole activity of the last 24h, 3/7 days, etc. Last thing, DMXzone offers too much extensions to do the same process (many times it's difficult to remember which extension must be installed by your marketplace). Please, create a single suite, as "ADDT" (Developer Toolbox) or DataAssist and remove the automatic update when you open a page (at least put a popup warning before updating). What do you think? Other DW users share my thoughts? I would have liked to put this message on the DMXzone forum, but isn't available a section "general".

Hi Teodor, before any misunderstanding, I'm an happy old DMXzone customer (from 2001) with "Years Subscription" active... it's just that I prefer to see a webpage in a browser with source code clear, without <h1>{{article.title}}</h1> <p>{{article.content}}</p> but with real value from database <h1>Lorem ipsum...</h1> <p>Sed euismod, justo at faucibus condimentum...</p>. It's only my opinion... I'm Italian and we are used to creativity and old tradition... and we don't care what some yankee is doing (Facebook, Linkedin, etc.). WebAssist (yankee company, but perfection doesn't exist ) not use "ajax way" and I prefer their extensions for dynamic content... instead for other extensions DmxZone is the best! Regards, Michele

Hi Mudit... I've installed your AddOns Server Behavior and it's ok. Only little problem, when I restart my mac, every time your Creative Cloud Application send me the message "You installed the AddOn Server Behavior & Database"... is possibile stop this repeat message (view messages only first time that I install AddOns)? Sometimes I use my mac on meeting/breafing with others people and I don't like to see this messages in the external screen. Last question... AddOns Server Behavior is updated with latest technology? I don't like Dmxzone's extensions with "spry ajax way"... it's the wrong way to work with database (webpages with incomprehensible code... {{gallery.Gallery}}, {{Info.image}}, etc.) and I'd like to use the traditional technique of development.
