Hi all, thanks in advance for your help and for reading this. I've been tasked with creating a product brochure for the food company I work for. I worked on some basic design concepts for this year's brochure but I'll be flying solo for the next one and have a couple of queries. Mostly about exporting data from Excel to InDesign and how to make everything look good and make sense. Below is a snapshot of our current brochure layout and we want something similar for next year - except I have NO idea how to achieve this - aside from creating individual tables and formatting (which would take me forever plus products are discontinued at random, which means changes to whole pages on occasion) I have a CSV file and a TXT file of the data, but each time I try to data merge, an error pops up saying I've got blank fields (presumably because of the sub-headings being included in the file and taking up a row with only one cell filled) What's the best way of creating tables, similar to the above, which I can edit easily and format to look a polished as these? Also - We have symbols for product attributes (gluten free, frozen, chilled etc) and these are signified by a 'y' if applicable, or blank if not, within the Excel file. is there a way to automate the process of grouping the Y's together and visualising with a small logo as above? Thanks again for any help - it is hugely appreciated!
