Only found out about today's online Ace Leader Meet last night and sadly am unable to make it as am hosting a phonics workshop for parents!

My 9yo (4th grader) gave me permission to share the one she made this month- I was pretty proud! Would love to see more people's examples, too (plus it inspires me to check out some new books for myself and my own kiddos)!

Celebrating the brand new Monthly Creative Challenge to Design a Book Bento Box and I just had to generate my own version of Max, the Wild Things, and of course add some story elements -- I've been having fun sourcing inspiration from a beloved book that I shared every year in my classroom: Where the Wild Things Are. Have you tried it yet?

Decided to make a Don Quxiote Bento Box in celebration of the 420 anniversary of the original book being publushed in Spain. Ther story and the musical Man of La Mancha are some of my favorites. "When life itself seems lunatic, who knows where madness lies? Perhaps to be too practical is madness. To surrender dreams — this may be madness. Too much sanity may be madness — and maddest of all: to see life as it is, and not as it should be!”

I plan on sharing this with my ELA teachers next week after fall break.

I ABSOLUTELY love this idea, and I'm going to see if I can remix some ideas to pair with historical eras, geographic regions, biomes, and maybe even math! I still have to record my explanations, but this is what I've got so far!
