Find Your Partner Classroom for the ACE Create-a-Thon: Day of Creativity (April 21!)

Hello fabulous ACEs!

Something exciting is happening on April 21st, World Creativity and Innovation Day, and we want YOU to be part of it.

We're hosting the ACE Create-a-Thon: Day of Creativity — a 24-hour global celebration where Adobe Creative Educators across the world will be creating, connecting, and answering one big question: What story does your creativity tell the world?

For 24 consecutive hours, our community will come together through live Create Along sessions, a global Community Quilt in Adobe Express, Student Ambassador spotlights, and, this is where YOU come in, Classroom Connections.

What are Classroom Connections?

This is your chance to pair your students with a classroom from another part of the world for a creative exchange on April 21st. Imagine your students in Texas collaborating with a classroom in Tokyo, or your learners in London connecting with peers in Lagos, all creating together in Adobe Express.

Whether you connect live via video call or share work asynchronously, the goal is the same: break down classroom walls and let your students experience the power of global creative community.

Here's how to find your partner classroom:

  1. Drop a comment below! Share a little about yourself: where you're located, what grade level/subject you teach, what time zone you're in, and what kind of connection you're looking for (live video call, async exchange, or either!). Just be careful not to share private details!
  2. Browse the comments and find someone who feels like a great match.
  3. Reach out via Forum DM to coordinate the details together. (Not sure how to use DMs? Here's a quick guide to messaging on the Adobe Community Forum.)
  4. Create together on April 21st! You decide what works best: a live video call where your students meet face to face, a shared Adobe Express project, or even an async exchange using the public gallery feature.

Can't coordinate a live session? No problem!

Adobe Express for Education now has a public gallery feature that makes async classroom connections beautifully simple. Your students can create and publish their work to a shared gallery, and your partner classroom can explore it, respond to it, and add their own with no scheduling gymnastics required. It's a fantastic way to connect across time zones while still giving students that feeling of creating with someone, not just for an assignment.

A few tips to get the most out of your Classroom Connection:

Think about what your students could share that tells their creative story. It could be as simple as an Adobe Express page about their community, a short video introduction, or a collaborative design challenge. The guiding question for the day is "What story does your creativity tell the world?" so lean into what makes your classroom unique.

And remember: this isn't extra work. This is your creativity, amplified. You're already doing incredible things with your students. This is just a chance to let the world see it.

Can't wait to see the connections that grow from this thread. Drop your comment below and let's start matching! 👇

Hi everyone! I’m Lisa, a 6th grade teacher in Southern California working in a STEM and innovation-focused classroom. My students love creating, collaborating, and bringing their ideas to life through tech and design.

We’re in the Pacific Time Zone and are open to either a live video connection or an async exchange. We would love to connect with another classroom and learn from each other!

Hi Amanda! I teach Year 5/6 (ages 9-11) in Wales, UK. I think our classes would be a great match for your 7:30 am (MDT) slot, which is 2:30 pm for us, the perfect way to end our school day!

We are currently deep into a project about the 14 Wolves of Yellowstone. Since your students are studying Entrepreneurship, we’d love to do a 'Nature’s Economy' swap:

My students could share their Adobe Express Fact Files or Podcasts about the impact the wolves had on the Yellowstone ecosystem (how one 'investment' of 14 wolves created a huge 'return' for the whole park).

We’d love a live video call for a quick 'Expert Q&A' session where my students can present their findings to yours.

I am also very open to hearing your ideas or discussing how we can best tailor this to fit your curriculum goals. Let me know if you’re interested in a Wales-Colorado wolf connection!

Kind regards,

Emilie
