Welcome to the Adobe Creative Educator (ACE) Leader Community – a space built for educators who believe creativity is more than something we teach. It’s also an important part of our growth journey.

Inside this community, you’ll find:

  • Conversations that spark curiosity (and joy)
  • Projects and ideas you can adapt across subjects and grade levels
  • Educators who share freely — what worked, what didn’t, and what’s next
  • Creative inspiration across all Adobe tools — from Express to Photoshop, Premiere, Firefly, and beyond
  • Leadership opportunities that help you grow your impact whether that’s presenting, mentoring, or guiding peers

You don’t need to be perfect. You just need to show up. ❤️

Hi all,

Today, we ran our first Adobe Express Meet-up. Please see the details listed below. I hope I am adding this the right blog and you enjoy reading about it.

🎮✨ Creativity, Competition & Community: Discovery’s Adobe Express Logo Challenge & Esports Tournament

21 March 2026 | Keyham Lodge School

This morning perfectly captured what we mean by belonging at Discovery Schools Trust.

Colleagues from across the Trust came together at Keyham Lodge School for our Adobe Express Logo Challenge and Esports Tournament, and it truly was a brilliant way to spend a Saturday morning. The atmosphere was buzzing — creative, collaborative and full of energy — with pupils, parents and staff learning with one another, not just alongside each other.

🎨 The Adobe Express Logo Challenge

As part of our Adobe Express Meet Up, colleagues, pupils and parents took part in a hands‑on logo design challenge using Generative AI in Adobe Express. Everyone created an esports logo, exploring how creativity and AI can work together when guided by thoughtful, purposeful prompts.

We talked openly about:

  • What makes a good prompt
  • How refining language improves outcomes
  • Why human creativity still sits at the heart of AI‑supported design

Every logo was saved into a classroom gallery, which sparked fantastic conversations about how powerful this feature can be for lessons — sharing work, celebrating creativity, and giving pupils a real audience.

Parents joined in too, creating logos alongside their children, which made the experience even more special.

🏆 Esports Tournament: Pupils, Parents & Purpose

Alongside the creative challenge, we hosted an esports tournament, with pupils battling it out in a Clash Royale competition. The focus wasn’t just on winning (although there was a trophy up for grabs!) — it was about teamwork, communication, resilience and respectful competition.

Seeing parents cheering on pupils, sharing strategies, and celebrating successes together was a powerful reminder of how digital tools can bring communities closer when used intentionally.

🌱 The Power of the ACE Community

One of the highlights of the morning was welcoming so many colleagues into the Adobe Creative Educator (ACE) community.

  • Over 40 colleagues signed up today
  • More are already lined up to join next week
  • New ACE Leaders left with mugs, water bottles and pin badges — but more importantly, with a sense of belonging to something bigger

The ACE community matters because it:

  • Connects educators who share ideas openly
  • Builds confidence in creative digital teaching
  • Directly improves pupil outcomes when creativity is carefully planned into lessons
  • Encourages experimentation, reflection and collaboration

Steven Jones and I are proud to be ACE Innovators, and we couldn’t be prouder of the community that continues to grow around this work. It is generous, supportive, and constantly inspiring — exactly what educators (and pupils) need.

💛 Belonging in Action

Today was a powerful example of what happens when creativity, digital tools and community come together with purpose. Pupils, parents and colleagues shared space, ideas and experiences — learning with each other rather than in silos.

This is what belonging looks like in practice.

🙌 Thank You

A huge thank you to everyone who took part today — colleagues, pupils, parents and supporters. And a special thank you to Adobe Express for supporting the event, particularly Nicole O’Connor, for championing creativity in education.

We’re already looking forward to planning the next Adobe Express community event — watch this space.

💡 Creativity thrives when people feel they belong.

Ah, Jo, I am just over the moon to hear this!! 💛 So delighted that your event went so well and I hope you know just how grateful I am to both you and Steve for leading this meetup and sharing your insights and learning with us! That helps us so much as we look at how to support other community-led events.

You identified a great model that ties in seamlessly with existing initiatives so that you aren’t adding more to anyone’s time or workload - just enhancing what they’re already enjoying and participating in!! It’s almost a no brainer to do meetups like that!!

My favourite takeaway from your post here is

“Pupils, parents and colleagues shared space, ideas and experiences — learning with each other rather than in silos. This is what belonging looks like in practice.” I LOVE THIS😍

It reminds me of that research from Dr. Brené Brown, that the opposite of belonging is fitting in. This meetup was an invitation to colleagues to actively join a community they already belong in - one that exists within and beyond the school gates.

Thank you, thank you again to you both!! 💫💫
