I'm absolutely ecstatic to be here!

I'm Rimmey and I'm a Social Studies and Speech/Debate educator from Kansas. I've been in the classroom since 2007 and decided I needed to be on a roller coaster for the last three years deciding the next phase of my career:

2007-2024: High School Social Studies, Speech and Debate and More

2024-2025: Middle School Geography, Intro to Avid and Electronic Media

2025-???: High School academic interventionist.

Either way, I'm excited to challenge students to express themselves in a variety of creative (and sometimes nontraditional ways). I'm excited to learn from this group!

Super stoked that you're here! I became an ACE leader in November of 2023 and have loved every minute. Are you excited for your new role? I too am changing roles this year from an K-12 district Ed Tech coach, back to the classroom as a learning specialist for high schoolers. We need to chat and collaborate!

Howdy! We probably have not met, although I've been around for a while. For the first large chunk of my career, I mostly kept very active in the state and national speech/debate communities, and didn't do much else (within my general content areas!).

I would definitely like to know what you've got going on in your specialist role, I've been told that I'll be creating targeted interventions for students who need to either acquire or recover credit, which I'm excited about. I'm not super thrilled about being bound to using Edmentum (I think), so I'm excited to learn what sorts of freedom I'll have to teach and assess kids beyond that. I'm also actively re-learning math 😃

I am so happy to be in this new space where we can share, learn and grow together. There is no other educator program like Adobe. We are here for each other, lift each other up and are always there for each other either virtually or at in-person events. I can't wait for this next year of fun challenges, new lessons and ideas, as well as what's coming on the horizon for Adobe Express. # AdobeEduCreative is the strongest community I'm a part of. Hi Brandie! Thank you so much for reaching out. In March, we sent communication alerting our ACE Leader and ACE Innovator communities know that the current system had been sunset due to the portal going down. We are working dilligently on developing even better systems for you moving forward to allow for our global partners to participate. Keep an eye out for your ACE Leader communications for details as they come out! ❤️
