The 13.1 release of Adobe Captivate introduces meaningful enhancements aimed at improving authoring flexibility and reuse. The focus is on helping creators work faster while delivering more interactive learning experiences.

Reuse legacy projects with ease (Beta)
You can now import projects from Captivate Classic into the new Captivate. This includes supported slides, content, and interactions, making it easier to modernize existing courses without starting from scratch.

Simulation projects can also be imported, retaining key elements like highlight boxes, click boxes, input fields, and recorded typing text. This is a significant step toward smoother migration workflows.

New interactive widgets
Two new widgets expand how content can be presented:

  • Slider widget enables step-by-step content reveal for more controlled learning flows
  • Stack card widget allows grouping related content into interactive, learner-driven cards

These additions offer more flexibility in structuring engaging, bite-sized experiences.

Improved multilingual support
Captivate now supports right-to-left (RTL) authoring for languages like Arabic and Hebrew. With bidirectional text support across components, quizzes, and buttons, creating localized content becomes much more seamless.

Additional workflow enhancements

In summary
Captivate 13.1 focuses on practical improvements: easier migration from Classic, more flexible content layouts, and better global language support. It is a solid update for teams looking to scale content creation without increasing complexity.
