Adobe Premiere Rush Discontinuation: What You Need to Know

Hi Premiere Rush Community,

Thank you for being part of the Premiere Rush journey—your feedback has shaped where we go next. We’ve taken what we learned from Premiere Rush to build a faster, smarter, and more powerful mobile editing experience: Adobe Premiere on iPhone..

Starting September 30, 2025, Premiere Rush will no longer be available for new users to download from Adobe.com or app stores. After that date, existing customers can continue using the app on their current devices until it is fully discontinued on September 30, 2026.

Premiere on iPhone is the next step in Adobe’s commitment to delivering world-class video tools across platforms. It’s designed from the ground up for today’s creators—combining pro-quality tools, studio-grade audio, and all the assets you need in a fast, free app that makes powerful video editing feel effortless. You’ll have access to Adobe Firefly generative AI, Enhance Speech, Adobe Fonts, and libraries of hundreds of thousands of free creative assets. It’s ad-free, watermark-free, and free to use—you only need to pay when you need generative credits or Adobe cloud storage.

We know change can be challenging, especially if you’ve been using Premiere Rush for a while. Premiere on iPhone is easy to pick up, but powerful enough to grow with you. We hope you’ll join us on this new chapter—one that brings Adobe’s best-in-class video editing tools to the most convenient place to create: your phone.

Premiere comes to iPhone later this month and is available now for pre-order through the Apple App Store. And stay tuned, an Android version is in development too.

We’ve created resources to help you navigate this shift:

Thanks again for being part of this journey. We can’t wait to see what you create next.

Please don’t get rid of Adobe rush. This is a great app! Once I found out that you guys were getting rid of it I was upset about it but thought what can I do? They’re getting rid of it. So I’ve trying canva because it seemed similar. And it is awful 😢. Rush is much better than Canva and even though rush had its problems they were more manageable than the ones on Canva.

It might be because they got the robot on there now 😒. I remember you guys asked me if I thought a robot would make it better for your software and I firmly told you no it would not especially since we are trying to create things ourselves and not have a robot do it for us 😒. But you probably got one anyway trying to “keep up,” with everyone else. But they’ll regret it, they all will.

Bur back to adobe rush please don’t get rid of it! Please change your mind about getting rid of it, just have someone fix it that’s all if it’s having problems 🥺! Okay that’s all.

It’s disappointing that there seems to be no intent to release this replacement product for Android users.
