Cannot record or play with MME input device selected (new since 7/29/25)

I'm connected by to a Mackie ProFX 12 mixer for my audio device. It's been working fine as MME device class.  Suddenly after Tuesday's update, it quit working:

• With MME and NO input selected in Audio Hardware, it will play thru the MME channels.
• With MME and the Mackie input selected, it appears to start playing (meters move) then after a second it stops. No audio is heard, even though the Time indicator shows it should be playing.
• With MME and Mackie input selected, when recording is started (shift+space), the red timeline indicator disappears and nothing is drawn on the screen, no meters move. The time indicator shows time passing until stop. After stopping the timeline indicator does not reappear, and clicking in the timeline does nothing.

If I switch to ASIO, everything works fine.. But I have to switch modes on the mixer to monitor.

Premier Pro Beta (25.6.0 build 17) is exhibiting the same behavior
