P: AI Noise reduction for Fuji X-H1 files produces purple lines on edges

Hey all,

I just updated to the new 12.3 version of LRC and tested it out with a couple of files from my Fuji X-H1 for both images the resulting DNG-file has purple lines going across the top and right sides of the image.

  1. Version of the app: LRC 12.3
  2. Platform and OS version: Windows 10 Pro
  3. Basic steps to reproduce the problem: Run AI Denoise at 50% on a Fuji X-H1 file
  4. Expected result and actual result: Clean image / purple lines on top and right sides of the image

I'll attach a few screen captures to showcase the issue.

Indeed, with the RAF files of my Fujifilm X-T2 which uses that sensor as well I have the exact same issue (purple lines on the edges of the image).

Feel free to move this to another thread, but as long as we're on the topic, what is it about the Fujifilm sensor that seems to trip up Lightroom? Editing Canon, TIFF, Nikon files is smooth, but Fujifilm RAWs has always been clunky to work with (like the crop tool, for example, stutters only on Fujifilm raws).

@martat14582229  Your issue seems to be slightly different to the other reports in this thread. Is there any way you could post a test file that exhibits the problems for us?

Well, that is something else entirely. I think this might need a new thread since X-Pro III is not using the X-Trans III sensor and the issue is quite different. That won't be resolved with a slight crop anymore 😄

Good point, possibly. Tried it on few files from the XT5 and it didn't happen.

The sensor is the same between X-T20 and X-H1, so maybe it has something to do with X-Trans III

Hi Ory,

Are you shooting Fuji as well or with some other brand? So far I've been able to reproduce the effect on only Fuji files. Canon RAW-files seem to be ok.

Hello,

I've just tested the new denoise option, works pretty well, great you added this. But, for some reason, it adds a blue line on the side of the photo...any idea why?
