Since upgrading to OS 10.14.6, Lightroom Classic (8.3.1) cannot merge (21 frame) panoramic images. Just sits there forever and does nothing.

Fingers crossed indeed. This issue is entirely preventing me processing any panorama images on any of the adobe products.

Thanks Ray, at least I'm not alone...some comfort taken! I've noticed that it does complete some but not all. The ones its does complete take ages! The example I posted actually did complete, 1hr 30mins later!!

Hey Jamie, We are all in the same boat. Adobe is aware of the issue and hopefully will be releasing a patch very soon. *fingers crossed*. It’s destroying the work flow of many of us.

Twice now I've tried a simple 5 image panorama but it keeps hanging at about 50% progress. The preview worked fine. I've left it now for an hour and still hanging
I've not had any problems before? Any suggestions?

I'm running a iMac with Mojave V10.14.6

I am also running into this issue.  I'm working with .raw Nikon files on a construction project I've been documenting for the last 2 years.  Merges that wouldn't have been a problem a month ago are stalling Lightroom, but only Lightroom.  I'm running on a 27" iMac.  I haven't done anything yet to try to solve it other than a cursory look at prefs and finding a couple posts like this to follow.

Ever since updating to the latest version of Lightroom Classic, the thermal throttling is insane. Once my computer heats up, it becomes impossible to merge an HDR or panorama. Worked just fine in the previous version of the software.

I see this too on my MacBook Pro 13”, but not on my MacMini 2018. The most obvious difference between the two machines is that I use a BlackMagic eGPU to feed the two 4K displays on my MacMini, while on the laptop I see it when I use the laptop without any extra hardware. That could point to the Intel GPU on the laptop. Turning on/off GPU acceleration on the laptop does not make a difference, though.

Just adding to this. Would also be happy to help out with beta testing. Alternatively I have to jump ship to a different toolset at 80% of what I shoot is now unprocessable.

Rikk,

Just wondering if you had any update on this issue? Might there by an 8.4.1 patch coming soon that would resolve this issue? I would be happy to be on a beta list if it meant getting the patch early, as it's really debilitated my workflow for both large panos and large HDR's. Thanks in advance.
