P: Constrain Crop not saving in preset

I posted this on the adobe.com forums, but it may get more traction here....

Since updating to LR 7.3, all my presets were imported and can be used. But none of them allow the Constrain Crop option under Transform to be set by default.

Even if I apply my preset, click Constrain Crop and "Update with current settings" on the preset, it still doesn't re-apply.

Running Windows 10 64bit.

I am editing thousands of real estate photos per day for a team of photographers. Our lenses require +3 profile correction (distortion). No problem, EXCEPT WHEN I GO TO SYNC THESE THOUSANDS OF PHOTOS PER DAY I HAVE TO MANUALLY SYNC "CONSTRAIN CROP" ACROSS THESE THOUSANDS OF IMAGES DOZENS OF TIMES PER DAY! This is soooooo stupid that this hasnt been fixed yet, COME ON ADOBE!!!!!

What can I say, I'm optimistic 😉

To slim that down further, no need to go back to grid view to select all, as Ctrl A / Cmd A would work in Develop.

Or borrowing John's code from above, I created a preset that only applies constrain crop that can be selected from the Grid's Quick Develop panel, or applied on import.

"While this is being looked at"

This has never been looked at. They have never addressed it, not once.

The only workable solution is to go to grid mode, do select all, then go to develop module, click on constrain crop, then click sync. Do this the moment you start working on a batch of photos and it will sync the constrain crop to all images. Then go back to the grid, unselect all, so you are just on the first photo and begin editing. This whole process takes about 3 seconds when you get quick at it.

While this is being considered, can you look at being able to include it in Defaults too?

This problem has existed for over a year now.  I recently installed and tested 8.3 and still nothing. Hello Adobe, fix Grandpa Lightroom's Constrain Crop in our presets already!

I installed 8.3 and this is still broken.  This is now May 2019.  Tick, tock.

Well if this ever was on the back burner I'm sure it fell off the stove by now. Do not ever expect this to be fixed. Just used to work around where you go to grid mode select all then hit develop mode hit constrain crop then hit the sync button that will apply the check to all of your pictures the whole process takes a whopping three seconds. It's ridiculous but it works.

Oh this is not even on the back burner it fell completely off the stove at this point. The real quick fix for is open your images do a control a to select all hit D4 develop module click the constrained checkbox click the sync button hit okay it takes all of five seconds. That's probably why they haven't fixed it or maybe they're just too busy keeping their stacks of money in order

WTF??? Seriously a year and this can't get fixed.  For us real estate photographers this is a pain in the ass!
