P: Constrain Crop not saving in preset

I posted this on the adobe.com forums, but it may get more traction here....

Since updating to LR 7.3, all my presets were imported and can be used. But none of them allow the Constrain Crop option under Transform to be set by default.

Even if I apply my preset, click Constrain Crop and "Update with current settings" on the preset, it still doesn't re-apply.

Running Windows 10 64bit.

Update: the issue is still open in our system and we have escalated with development.  Thank you for your patience.

How they have not fixed this is beyond me. It cannot be that complicated. I have adjusted my workflow now to where it's only taking an extra 10 seconds once I import. But things like this are just ridiculous and unacceptable for a product of this caliber. Or maybe it's not as high caliber is I am assuming...

It hasn't been fixed for 7.4 either. I am using Constrain Crop in the Lens Correction panel and it won't save in Presets either.

Another workaround: Use the Set Constrain Crop On command of the free plugin Fix Presets.

To add Constrain Crop to all the selected images:

1. Select the desired images.

2. Go to Develop.

3.  Do Settings > Enable Auto Sync to turn on auto sync.

4. In the Transform panel, check Constrain Crop.

5. Very Important: Do Settings > Enable Auto Sync again to turn off auto sync. Forgetting to turn of auto sync can lead to disastrous accidental changes to all the selected photos.

Unfortunately, a bug in LR prevents the work-around script from working. However, I'll post a workaround recipe below.

When is this going to be fixed... I edit thousands of house photos and have to go and check the box on every one...

I’ll be releasing a work-around script in the next few days — stay tuned.

As far as I know there is no work around for this. Also there has been no release of an update to fix this. What I am doing for now is as soon as I import my images I click on the first image in the group, click on the constrain crop check box , then go back to the grid, select all and sync all settings. This syncs that constrain crop. Then I go about my editing.
