P: CR 18.3 is slow until you install the update (see Highlighted Post)

I have never had an issue with ACR before.18.3 freezing saying not responding saving files took twenty minutes instead of seconds everything was super laging, when I disabled the GPU acceleration it improved I see on the other pages I am not alone I'm using the most up to date windows, Nvidia drivers ETC: I have a 7950x, 5090, 64GB and NVME drives. Please fix as soon as possible or at least give a link to the previous version which I had no issues with.

When I attempt to zoom in after increasing clarity and texture on an image in the newest Camera Raw version, the image lags and takes up to 30 seconds to render any details, then any image after takes up to a minute or longer or freezes. I’ve tried resetting my GPU, turning off GPU for image processing, and reverting back to prior versions of Photoshop, but the problem still persists across both my computers. This was not an issue prior to the latest update, and has made processing painfully slow.

Tengo el mismo problema con la última actualización de Camera Raw. Tengo la misma versión de photoshop, la última en mis dos oredenadores mac. En el Mac Studio con la última versión de Camera Raw todo va muy lento y el en McBookPro con la versión inmediatamente anterior funciona perfectamente. He intentado revertir a la versión anterior como comentáis en el foro pero no instala la versión anterior. Sigue la misma versión. Pido por favor una solución a este gran problema. Una actualización que solucione este problema o una manera eficaz de volver a la versión anterior de Camera Raw.

Same problem on my side with 18.3. I have made a lot of debuging and fixing, but in the end I had to disable GPU acceleration of my RTX 4070 TI.

ACR is freezing, lagging and making me crazy. Adobe, pls fix it ASAP. It is impossible to work properly!

Reinstalled 18.3 from exe and it fixed all the issues.

@Bill Morse there’s an updated 18.3 version of ACR in the below thread, try installing that version

Try installing an updated Camera Raw 18.3 plugin and see if that works:

I’ve also been experiencing this error message since installing the latest Photoshop Beta update version 27.7.0. It happens to me when I try bring a DNG file in from Lightroom via the “Edit In > Photoshop” right click menu option.

This is the worst. I don't know why they aren't fixing it. Shouldn't they at least roll back the update? I can't get any work done after the forced update.
