Use DNG 15.2 to convert Panasonic Lumix DC-S3M2 to DNG with Lossy Compression enabled.
Attempt to import into CR 15.2 or LrC 12.2
File is not readable

Greetings all,

Updates for Adobe Photography products have been released.  The April 2023 updates contain a fix for this issue.

If you do not see the update in your Creative Cloud Application, you can refresh it by hitting [Ctrl/Cmd]+[Alt/Opt]+[ R ].

Note: It may take up to 24 hours for your update to be available in your Creative Cloud app.

Thank you for your patience.

After converting the RAW files to DNG format

Is that conversion via LrC, or from a third party RAW converter?

Ja, die Konvertierung erfolgte über LRC und auch über Adobe DNG Konverter!

das Problem tritt nur auf, wenn die Option "lossles compression " gewählt wurde!

I've just checked Camera Raw 15.2 and Lightroom Classic 12.2 and they can convert to DNG and process the converted DNG file

Files converted from Lumix DC-S5M2 Raw (RW2) files using DNG Converter and imported into LrC 12.2 can also be processed without issue.

I'm using macOS 13.2.1 Ventura

May be you could upload an original and DNG version of the files you're having problems with to Dropbox or similar, then post alink to same when you next reply.

The issue only happens if the dng conversion is set with the option "lossless compression"!

Hmm, not sure where you're seeing an option for lossless compression as that that's the default conversion for DNG. Are you sure that you're not confusing 'Lossy Compression' as shown on attached screenshot of DNG Converter.

Edit: Attempting to use 'Lossy Compression' results in 'not supported', but this option is only used when lower quality demosaiced images are acceptable.
