P: Export ignores image sizing "resize to fit short edge" setting when source image is a DNG

output format will be jpg.
If source file is jpg it works.

This happens only(!!!) if "don't enlarge" is checked!

on LT 5.3 / ,ac os x 10.9.1 the export module does not resize the image.
ie i choose to export with 6Mpix / 300 Dpi but the image are big as the original

Thanks Rob,
I've already use temporarily option 0.a. :-)
Almost all of my images are bigger than the target size so it's not a big deal.
But hopefully Adobe recognises this issue and will fix it with LR5.4...

Options:

0.a. Uncheck "don't enlarge" (if you don't need it) - sorry, but it is as simple as that for some folk...

1. Divide exports into 2 groups (those demanding downsizing, and those already smaller than target dimensions), and export the former group with normal resizing, and export the later group without resizing (instead of "do not enlarge").
2. Use Exportant (Miscellaneous: Prevent long dimensions).

0.b. Re-install Lr5.2 until these bugs are fixed (presumably in Lr5.4) - sorry again, but it is a viable option you may not have considered...
