Adobe Camera Raw 17.1

"New AI Features and Settings Panel" is checked.

Steps to reproduce:

1. Open a raw file in ACR.

2. Right click on the histogram and check "Show Lab Color Readouts".

3. Press "s" to sample a random color.

4. Check "Raw Details" or "Denoise" from the side panel under "Details".

5. Notice that the sampled color values shift (drastically).

I understand this is a beta feature and is still under developement.

But LAB color readouts is crucial to my retouching workflow. I can't afford to let this slip through.

From the Camera Raw engineering team:

"I am not seeing a ‘drastic’ shift in values. The LAB values change slightly because the actual pixel data changes, which is expected. If there is a pixel that changes drastically, that may also be expected due to the fact that the AI model is updating all pixels to alter the image. If the values are ‘incorrect’, please ask the customer for a way to verify this.:"

Please run more tests and investigate more thoroughly.

In the provided comparison screenshot, note that the L value of #2 jumps from 23 to 61. That is pretty drastic to me.

Here is an even more drastic example:

Sorry, this affects RGB colors as well.
