P: Merge to HDR not working with Recover Edges Plug-in DNGs

I applied the Recover Edges plug-in to some of my Canon 5D MkIII files because Lightroom CC 2015 honored the in-camera crop I set (and did not turn
off!).
This worked fine to give me back the rest of the sensor info. I reset
the files in the Develop module. However, when I try to merge these
"full" DNG files to HDR, I get the message "unknown errors" and the
merge fails. Could either the plug-in or Merge to HDR be updated to recognize the full sensor files created with the Recover Edges plug-in? HDR merge worked fine on the original "cropped" files. Thanks.

This should now be fixed as of the CC2015.6/6.6 update released today. You can find more details here: http://blogs.adobe.com/lightroomjournal/2016/06/lightroom-cc-2015-6-now-available.html

Hi Kathy,

I was able to reproduce the error using your files in Lightroom 6.4. Our engineers have already implemented a fix, which will be included in the next release of Lightroom. Thank you for bringing the issue to our attention.

Hi Kelly,
Here is a Dropbox link to a folder with the two DNG's converted using the Recover Edges plug-in. I tried merging them again but got the same error message.

Hi Kathy,

Thank you for your post. Unfortunately, we are unable to reproduce the issue that you are seeing.

We are able to merge exposure bracketed sets of files from the 5DMK3 (as well as other camera models) that were saved with an in-camera crop applied and then run through the Recover Edges plug-in. It’s possible that there is some other cause for the error that you are seeing. If you would like to provide the set that is producing the error, we can investigate further.
