P: Unable to openHasselblad’s FFF format

Hasselblad’s FFF. formats are not supported anymore

Problem occurs in both Mac OS 15.5 (24F74)  & Windows 11 pro (Betriebssystembuild: 26100.7840)

When opening fff. files in the newest Bridge (16.0.3), Camera RAW Plugin (18.3.) opens and creates an error, claiming the file format is not supported. Same Problem occurs with  the newest Lightroom Classic (15.3). The Import is not possible cause the file format is not supported.

Thank you for your help!

I did a test with Affinity 3, no problem… It’s clearly a bug. I hope it will be settled very soon

There is an updated version of the 18.3 plugin to fix some other issues, but nevertheless it still may be worth a try:

Happened to me yesterday on a commercial photoshoot. I am tethering into Phocus, and then viewing files in Bridge and Photoshop – both were unable process the files, not even display previews.
Thought its something with new Phocus update, reinstalled, different version, but no help – turns out that CameraRaw 18.3 somehow silently dropped / broke support for one of the best cameras in the world right now. Without warnings, mentions.

Tried to download previous version 18.2 but adobe dont provide any previous download links.

    Its completely unacceptable.

    Utter shame.

Also one thing: when I wanted to open the .fff file with ACR 18.3. out of my explorer/finder, it had the same error.

I will now work my way up through the various updates to see where the problem started. Also tethering not working with X2Dii either🙄

I downgraded to LR 15.2.1 and it seems that it is ok now.

    Greetings @Lo_Sa

Do you have the ability to share with Adobe Engineering a couple of the files that indicate they are not supported?

Share them with a standard sharing service and direct message me with the link if you can.

    Thanks!

    Hello,

The problem is still not fixed. What will it take for Adobe to fix it? Maybe less AI and more stability.
