P: Unable to openHasselblad’s FFF format

Hasselblad’s FFF. formats are not supported anymore

Problem occurs in both Mac OS 15.5 (24F74)  & Windows 11 pro (Betriebssystembuild: 26100.7840)

When opening fff. files in the newest Bridge (16.0.3), Camera RAW Plugin (18.3.) opens and creates an error, claiming the file format is not supported. Same Problem occurs with  the newest Lightroom Classic (15.3). The Import is not possible cause the file format is not supported.

Thank you for your help!

    Hi All,

The May release of Camera Raw 18.3.1 is now live and contains a fix for this issue.

For information on how to update the Camera Raw version, you can check: https://helpx.adobe.com/creative-cloud/apps/manage-apps/creative-cloud-apps/update-creative-cloud-apps-manually.html

    Thanks,

    Nikunj

Can we expect an update to Lightroom Classic soon? Do you care about your users? Thank you.

I’m on latest LrC/Photoshop/ACR. Camera is Hasselblad X1D II. I’m still able to oped fff files exported in Phocus from 3FR but not fff shot in tethered mode in Phocus 4.1.2 macOS. I noticed it yesterday.

3 Weeks later, still no fix happening. My clients are waiting for their photos.

Also still pissed Adobe Support first blamed my camera and setup, before retracting their tail and admitting it is a bug on their end.

LRC 15.3 broke my H6D-50c .FFF raws (but the older H5D-40 flies appear ok) - I’ve reverted to the older release of LRC.

Hello, Can you please give us a feedback? As you can imagine we are all professional photographer. So, if you don’t fix it we will change software. Come on, we are in 2026… hurry up!

Same Problem (Br, Ps and LrC). I can open and edit some .fff files, but not all. Unable to figure out the similarities within these files. So I:

    • deleted the .xmp files
    • deleted the cache
    • duplicated “successful” xmp-files and renamed them
    • edited .xmp-files and altered the values crs:Version and crs:ProcessVersion
    • edited .fff files in Hasselblad’s phocus software
    • reinstalled Adobe software

Still unable to view / edit ALL files.

What worked (even though not an option):

    • converting .fff files in Hasselblad’s phocus software in .dng files (of course without the .xmp values)
    • installing ACR 14.5 (unable to display certain masks)
    • viewing / editing .3fr files (non-thethered / SD-card import)

It all went south after installing ACR 18.3...

I did a test with Affinity 3, no problem… It’s clearly a bug. I hope it will be settled very soon
