Cannot upload CEP panel to CC/distribution

I’m trying to update my extension for Premiere and Audition, but I haven’t been able to upload due to the version numbers. It looks like this was an issue before.

Versions in manifest:

<Host Name="PPRO" Version="[14.4,26.9]"/>
<Host Name="AUDT" Version="[14,26.9]"/>

The errors I’m getting:

  • The maximum version you mentioned is greater than the maximum supported version for product PPRO.
  • The maximum version you mentioned is greater than the maximum supported version for product AUDT.

    Did you figure this out or are you still blocked? Sometimes it works better to leave out a maximum.

    Hi Erin,

    I am still blocked, but had some exchanges over the last two weeks with the CC Integrations Review team and it sounds like their engineers are investigating it.

    I may end up trying without the maximum for the time being since we’re having so many customers complain about having to install manually. I just want to make sure I can eventually add the maximum to keep users from upgrading to the next major version before we get a chance to test it, but there should be plenty of time for that.

    Alternatively, are you able to see what the max supported version is for those apps? I haven’t tried lower numbers after seeing the other post that had the same issue and them stating that lower max versions also didn’t work.

    Thanks in advance!

    I’m glad to hear that your customers prefer to install via the Exchange. 😀

    Say - I haven’t talked to many people with an Audition CEP plugin. Do you have some kind of connector, or is it a different experience in Premiere and Audition?

    I’m asking because as Premiere adapts UXP, you’ll have to migrate from CEP to UXP eventually. If Audition is on a very different UXP timeline, you may need separate listings for an as-yet-undetermined period of time… Maybe.
