Can't select the text properly

After update to 30.2 45 version of the Illustrator Beta, I have not been able to select the desired text properly using trackpad or mouse. The selection doesn't start from where I point the mouse, it starts selecting from elsewhere. This happens in both Area Type and Point Type text. I operate on Tahoe 26.1 Mac OS.

    Hello @jtiesing a bug has been raised means that internally we could replicate this issue and we are trying to fix it. When a bug is raised, it is tracked by a JIRA request and it is picked as soon as the team can and try to fix it.

    Screen does not seem to be the problem. Rebooting and CPU preview mode also does not help.

    Hi Simriti,

      I have seen several instances on forums where you say "A bug has been raised..." Does this mean the issue is being worked on or what?

      Could of course be related to Tahoe.

       

      Do you have multiple screens? A very large screen? Does this get better after rebooting the computer? Does this get better in CPU preview mode?
