Cannot type an uppercase R in the new beta 29.6 173

This new beta does not allow me to type an uppercase R with the shift key. It works in all other apps on my computer but in this version of illustrator it just doesn't type it at all when shift is held down.

Confirmed. Seems to be fixed in version 29.7.9

The issue appears to be fixed in the new 29.7.9 build of Illustrator.

I'm experiencing this too

I have the same issue. I've tried to go to the Key Shortcuts to unbind, but can't find Artboard Options. This is such a massive inconvenience

I installed a slight update to the 29.6.180 build just now. I still can't type a capital "R" character in either point text or area text objects. But the Shift+R combination no longer brings up the Artboard Options dialog box. Nothing happens when trying to type a capital R in a point text object. I noticed when the area text tool is active pressing Shift+R causes the text insert cursor to rotate 90 degrees.

I'm seeing the same problem. Beta build 29.6.180. Can't type a capital R without it bringing up the Artboard Options dialog box. It happens with both area text and point text objects.

It opens the artboard options for me. For you as well?
