Illustrator v30.2.1 hangs when offline and switching documents

When not connected to the internet, Illustrator hangs when switching documents (Mac spinning wheel). Other operations also seem sluggish at times.

This occurs on a fresh Mac install (Mac OS Tahoe 26.3). It appears to have been introduced in either Illustrator v30.2 (not tested) or v30.2.1 (tested). I’ve gone back to v30.1, which does not have the problem.

The following issue seems to report the opposite problem (maybe a fix has created this new issue):

Also, I saw that there is a similar issue reported on the other community. Would you try the steps listed in https://community.adobe.com/questions%2D652/illustrator%2Dextremely%2Dlaggy%2Dboth%2Dnew%2Dv30%2Dand%2Dpast%2D818137 to see if that works for you?

I believe this is the opposite issue (laggy when connected to internet) on an earlier version.

Ok, I’ll have you try out the latest build and share your thoughts if Illustrator is still laggy without an active internet connection. I was wondering what is your current project? Are any of the elements of the project dependent on an active internet connection like Adobe Fonts?

and do you face the same issue on the main GA app? or you prefer working on Beta?

Thank you for the detailed report! Can you please confirm if you are still facing this issue?

I was consistently getting this issue on v30.2.1 until I downgraded to v30.1. I have not had the issue on v30.1. I have also not gone back to v30.2.1 yet, but if you need me to test fixes or gather more information on another version I can.

@Webology thanks a lot. That would be wonderful. We are currently on Beta 30.4. It would be helpful if you could test on the latest build and share your thoughts.
