Pages show as white not transparent

Illustrator 29.9 Pages are not transparent - they have a white background. I've checked settings. I have viewed on Transparency Grid. There is no white background.

Transparency works fine now thank you.

Also just love the Quick Pen Tool. In my scenario it won't replace the Pen tool but fantastic for creating quick icons.

Hello @student_30_1537 We have had a latest release. Please check the release notes at https://community.adobe.com/t5/illustrator-beta-discussions/beta-build-29-9-36-release-notes/td-p/15478061 but you also mention that you have checked this issue. Can you please confirm?
