Still having difficulty recognizing pressure sensitivity on Surface Pro X

I have noticed that with the latest release, I am able to get some response to varying pressure when drawing with the brush tool on the Surface Pro X tablet. But only while using the default Touch Caligraphic brush, and so far only after I have loaded an existing file. Creating or editing a brush to respond to pressure input does not yield any results. As I have said before, the stylus produces satisfactory results in other apps, such as Fresco, Photoshop, ConceptsApp and the new Affinity Studio.

Running Windows 11 24H2

Device: Microsoft Surface Pro X
Processor Microsoft SQ2 @ 3.15 GHz (3.15 GHz)
Installed RAM 16.0 GB (15.6 GB usable)
System type 64-bit operating system, ARM-based processor
Pen and touch Pen and touch support with 10 touch points

Hi @TheOriginalGC ,
Thanks for sharing these details — this is really helpful.

To help us diagnose this further, could you please share:

  • The exact brush settings you’re trying to modify

  • Whether pressure is enabled in the Brush Options panel

  • A quick screen recording (if possible) showing the behavior

  • Whether this occurs in both new documents and existing ones

Really appreciate your patience — we’re committed to getting this working smoothly for you.
