There's something very wrong with the color guide tool panel. It's showing completely incorrect swatches, the preview thumbnails in drop down do not match at all the actual colors when you open a palette, and some of the palettes have jumbled colors.

This is now fixed in the latest Beta. Please review and let us know.

Same. 30.6. So it didn’t work in Beta and made its way to the main build 🤔

Also happening to me in Illustrator 30.6. Has been an issue for over a month now. 

This is happening to me too. I’m on Windows 10, with 30.5.1. 

Just for reference, it’s working fine in 29.8.9

This is a HUGE fauxpas. That's like Pantone mistaking 40/30/30/90 as PURE black.
