Hi all I have been designing fairly high quality webpages now for a number of years but have always been a little uncertain about my own exact color management setup.I'm running a Dell 2407WFP-HC monitor (1920X1200 resolution/highest 32bit color windows setup) on a Geforce 8600GT video card.ICC Profile loaded is the default monitor Dell 2407WFP-HC (file name 2407WFPHC.icm) and I have run Adobe Gamma but found it to be fairly even to the default profile so have just left the gamma as the default. Now in the past I have been designing webpages using the RGB Adobe 1998 (knowing I should really be in SRGB IEC61966-2.1) RGB color space simply because when I am designing on the screen, once I output the graphic via the Save For Web command (in gif/jpg/png) the final image that appears inside the browser (IE, FF, Safari) appears close to what was shown back on my Photoshop CS3 screen. Where as if I design in the SRGB IEC61966-2.1 RGB color space the final image I see in the browser is not what
Hi we have Indesin CS3 and we have great problems printing to our Inkjet printers getting wild variations on colour we have an eye one calibrator and have no problems calibrating and get great results we need to use indesign to print several photographs and text from indesign Ie template with photos text boxes with ids and logos we do not wish to manipulate the images as they are medical shots and we require the original colours / exposure when printing indesign uses "composite" whereas photoshop uses RGB any suggestions as to where i am going wrong please. Hello Everyone,I'm in the process of testing CS4 for deployment to a large print production environment and I'm seeing some interesting behavoir in so far as it's handling of color management is concerned, specifically with Same as Source printing from Acrobat.I currently have CS2 deployed, and we're using InDesign for page composition. We primarily accept Adobe RGB (1998) and US Web Coated (SWOP) artwork. PDFs are created from InDesign via File > Export, and we have it configured for "No Color Conversion" and "Include all Profiles." As such, our PDFs contain both RGB and CMYK artwork, all of which is tagged with an ICC profile. In Acrobat 7, we submit these files "Same as Source" to our RIPs (Fiery and Wasatch) in order to preserve the embedded profiles. All of our color management is handled at the RIP. This works quite nicely. We have tested the submissions and the RGB and CMYK builds (color numbers) come through dead on.With Acrobat 9 Same as Source submissions, we are seeing th
Hi. Is there a high-end wide-gammut notebook display for color-critical image editing ? What notebook would you recommend if you HAD TO recommend one ? thanks.
In Photoshop, I can choose to assign or convert to profile. This seems straight forward, I think. I was given images in ProPhoto RGB color space (8 bit). Just as a test, I did two things. I created a Proof setup that used Adobe RGB and Peceptual Rendering intent. Then, I also went to Assign Profile. Both cases the image was darker and lacked detail (given the smaller color space)... My working space for RGB is Adobe RGB with perceptual rendering intent. Next I turned the proof colors off and I converted the file to Adobe RGB. In this case, the color changed very little (was not dark at all). I thought I understood that if you assign a profile, the appearance on screen will differ (and the numbers will stay the same), If I convert, the numbers actually change. question: Why would the image look very dark when I was assigning the profile, but look the same as the original when converting?
Hi. Is it impossible to get 100% identical colors (if we leave aside the jpeg compression artefacts) when saving a .jpeg file with Photoshop using the highest quality setting (12) ?
Hallo, I print only to my inkjet at home, canon 4 ink epson 8 ink. In the colour management policy for photoshop cs3 within creative suite 3 I have set the Grey dot gain to gamma 2.2 instead of the default 20%. There seems to be about a 50/50 on this issue. the botom dot gain (Spot dot gain) this is not important for me. Could someone clarify this situation because I have found no definitive explanations on the web about this issue. Even colour management tutorils seem always to avoid these issues. Tankyou, Chris.
