Selecting existing documents; and renaming in modal

Hi folks,

Happy New Year!

I have 2 feature requests that would improve the UX and workflows.

It would be incredibly helpful if there were a way of searching and selecting a document from "Your stuff".

it would also be very useful if you could rename a document inside the embed modal in the same way that you can rename a document in the main web app.

1. Selecting an existing document

Within a project in our app, people can create a new Adobe Express asset linked to an object in our system.

They can then edit and render new versions of it using the methods that you provide.

However, users have their own assets within Adobe Express that they have either created in the full web app or previously created using the embed feature.

Alongside the create and embed buttons it would be Extremely useful to have a "Select existing Adobe Express document" button.

Currently the only way that we can let them do that is by manually copying and pasting the project UID into an input field that is then used by the edit button.

That's not a great UX.

Ideally someone should just be able to click a button, browse their library of existing assets in their account and select a project that they want to open up in the embed model – then they can edit or render back an image or video to attach to the object in our app. We have people who create multiple pages within a document with different versions of buttons they are using in their interactive video for example. Or just want to reuse an existing asset in another part of their project without having to create a new blank document and import their old asset into it.

There are some other workflow benefits with brand kits and templates that I won't go into, but you get the idea.

2. Naming documents in the embed modal.

Currently we have to rename the exported files when they are returned to our app using logic on our side because all assets are just returned to our media library with a generic name.

Given that the assets are created In Express with an untitled name and that all assets in regular full Express have names that you can edit, I don't understand why there is no editable name at the top left of the embed panel.

A follow-up to this is that when you are creating something, why can't you also choose where to organise & store it in your folders. But that is secondary to naming.

We are still on API v3 because of priorities so I'd be really happy to know that these things are already available in version four – but if they are not, please can I submit them for serious consideration?

Just to flag this up again as a feature request:

when we return the files to Stornaway, we have to apply a name to the file upon receipt because you can't rename it in the Express embed modal.

It would be better UX to be able to give the file a name at the top left of the Express embed modal, just like in the main Express application, both for organising and search within your Express account and to pass it back to Stornaway.

This would also allow people to add version numbers to files that they are creating and editing and returning in an iterative round-trip workflow, which people do a lot - and currently their Stornaway project & library gets full of video and image file versions with identical names.

Creating an untitled file that you can't rename is strange.
