Feature Requests for Adobe Premiere on iPad and iPhone

Dear Adobe Team,

I regularly work with Premiere on both the iPad Pro and the iPhone, especially for Log video workflows. The mobile version has tremendous potential, and I would like to suggest a few features that would significantly improve professional use.

1. Support for importing custom LUTs for Log footage

Being able to import and manage custom LUTs would be a major improvement. For Log workflows, having personalized LUTs is essential for consistent color management.

2. Option to select Input Gamma

It would be extremely helpful to manually set the input gamma (e.g., S-Log3, V-Log, Canon Log, etc.). Correct gamma assignment before grading is crucial for accurate color work.

3. AI-powered masking tools

A dedicated AI-based masking feature—similar to the desktop version or Lightroom—would greatly simplify selective editing. Automatic detection of people, faces, or objects would be ideal.

4. More templates and more effects

An expanded library of high-quality transitions, effects, and presets would make the mobile version far more versatile, especially for social-media-focused workflows.

5. Built-in video stabilization

A stabilization tool comparable to Warp Stabilizer on the desktop is currently missing. For mobile shooting, this is an essential feature.

I would be very happy to see these improvements in future updates. Premiere for iPad and iPhone has the potential to fully support professional workflows on the go.

Thank you for your great work and for continuously evolving the app!

Kind regards,

Tommy

Hi, thank you so much for the detailed reply — I really appreciate the transparency and the insight into your roadmap.

I tested the custom LUT import feature today, and I’m genuinely happy to see that this is already available. The ability to import and adjust LUTs is great.

However, the main challenge with Log footage remains: without proper input color space and input gamma control, LUTs are not truly usable in a professional Log workflow.

This is exactly why manual input color management becomes so important. Especially now, with Apple introducing its own Log profile, dynamic range handling and correct color interpretation matter more than ever.

In my case, I mainly work with:

  • Sony S-Log3 / S-Gamut3.Cine
  • DJI D-Log M

For these workflows, it would be extremely valuable to:

  • Manually select the input color space (e.g. Sony S-Gamut3.Cine)
  • Manually select the input gamma (e.g. Sony S-Log3)
  • Define a clear output color space, such as Rec.709

This step is essential to ensure accurate color conversion before creative grading. Without it, LUTs often produce incorrect contrast, clipped highlights, or unnatural colors — especially with high dynamic range footage.

I strongly believe that adding manual input color space and gamma selection would not only unlock the full potential of the LUT feature, but also make Premiere Mobile far more appealing to many professional videographers working with Log footage.

Thanks again for listening and for the great work you’re doing — I’m really excited to see where Premiere on iPad and iPhone is heading.

Best regards,

Tommy

Hi @tommy_2590  Thank you so much for taking the time to share such detailed feedback! It's clear you know your pro workflows.

Let me address each point:
1. Custom LUT Import
Good news—this feature already in the app today You can import custom .cube LUTs:
  • Open the Looks panel on a clip
  • Tap the "+" button to import your .cube LUT files
  • Your LUTs are saved and can be applied with adjustable intensity

2. Input Gamma Selection
Currently, Premiere Mobile auto-detects color space from your video (HDR/SDR). Manual gamma assignment (S-Log3, V-Log, Canon Log) are needed for Log workflow unfortunately, not unavailable yet. Thank you for this suggestion!

3. AI-Powered Masking

This is absolutely on our radar and pretty high up on the list No ETA yet but trust me that we really want and to make it a great experience for our users.

4. More Templates & Effects
Totally hear you—we're always expanding our library. Your feedback helps prioritize.

5. Video Stabilization
A stabilization tool has been part of our roadmap plans.  Excellent feature request!

Your feedback on input gamma control and stabilization is exactly the kind of insight our team loves to hear. Would you be open to sharing example workflows or Log footage types you work with most? This context helps us prioritize features that matter to users like you.

Thank you again for your support and detailed suggestions!
