Using LUTs in Premiere Pro Mobile for Apple Log Footage

Hello,

I’d like to ask if it’s possible to add LUTs in the Premiere Pro mobile app. I record in Apple Log and would like to apply the official Apple Log to Rec.709 conversion LUT.

If that’s not currently possible, is there any workaround to get a similar result? For example, is it better to record in Apple Log and manually adjust exposure, contrast, and saturation in Premiere Pro Mobile — or to apply (burn in) the Rec.709 LUT while recording and work directly with Rec.709 footage?

Thank you!

Hi all! In the latest build of Premiere Mobile, we’ve introduced LUT support. You can now import and apply LUTs directly to your clips.

Here’s how to do it:

  1. Open any project and select a clip in your timeline.
  2. Tap Looks on the toolbar.
  3. On the right side of the Looks panel, tap the + button.
  4. Import any LUT file in .cube format — including Apple’s Log to Rec.709 conversion LUT or others.
  5. Once imported, the LUT will be automatically applied to your clip and saved in your presets for future use.

Happy Editing!
