Hi - I need to know if the Adobe Media Encoder supports WebM files, and if it can convert a WebM file (of at least 250mb) to a standard video file, such as mp4 or Quicktime.

Thank you!

This topic has been around for 9 years, so many people would probably be happy if, on the 10th anniversary of the request for WebM support in Adobe, it finally happened. The main thing is that there is AI in Adobe, which I don't use, but no WebM support is problematic.

This is great to hear! I want to edit webm video files to create startup movies for my steam deck.

Hi all,

While we are considering adding WebM support to our video applications, we do not have a date for when this will happen.

If that changes, I will provide an update to this thread.

Regards,

Fergus

Instead of putting my ridiculously overpriced yearly subscription fee towards integrating censored AI content into adobe products, maybe put my money towards features that customers actually are asking for, like webm support. How is this still not added?

Anyway,

In such cases, I use OBS Studio, which is excellent software not only for converting webm files to formats editable by Adobe. It does a lot of things that are hard to find in Adobe Creative Studio.

We should thank Adobe like a god for AI, rather than focusing on small things like the ability to work with file types that have been popular for decades. After all, Adobe AI will soon replace all graphic designers, and then we won't even be able to blink because such brilliance will emanate from Adobe.
