Naming Tokens within Adobe Media Encoder

It would be nice for Adobe Media Encoder to have naming tokens just like within the After Effects Renderer, for example when exporting a composition named [projectName]-[width]x[height]-[YYYY-MM-DD] it will automatically name your export to the project name + size of the composition + the render date.

We actually do have the option to create renaming presets. You can find them when creating an ingest preset. Renaming can be further combined with other steps, such as transcoding, copying, adding metadata etc.

This is fine for ingest, but not at all useful for export where you’re having to export 10+ versions of files in different encode specs. (Yes the “append preset name” is fine, but I should be able to make it part of the preset vs program wide)
Not to mention trying to do version control.
