Play Videos from inside Media Encoder

I often use Media Encoder to cut down videos. Unfortunately though, because you can't play videos from inside Media Encoder, I often have to take them into Premiere first to ensure I've set the right in point.

Media Encoder should have the option to play video files.

Same here, real use case today, got to cut "to the frame", not to the second, and couldn't get a playback of my edit (or even a loop).

So definitely a PLAY button, a PREVIOUS frame and NEXT frame too for fine results (I know I can always TYPE, but that's tedious). Of course, this goes with a loop button to extract just the best part.

I tried through Adobe Express quick actions, which have the play button BUT wouldn't cut under the second.
I ended up in Premiere Pro for adjustments, when I wouldn't want to create a new project for just one cut.

That's such a core feature. Live playback of the output makes mostly no sense due to performance issues. But playing the source (when converting / cutting videos and not projects from Premiere / After Effects) should be possible.
The codecs are already implemented, so just making the preview play with sound shouldn't be such a hassle. Basically just an inbuild media player.

same problem. Adobes products are always bad for business. The only reason I use them is because my boss forces me. Any other program does this job better...

adobe is the worst in business and I will keep telling this everyone because it stays true because adobe is absolutely incompetent.

it hurts humanity as a whole garbage like this gets a monopoly...

I googled this to find the answer. The play button was missing on my copy. But no, just Adobe being Adobe.

How amazingly strange that we are the only ones that need this ability?! I don't have Premier installed and it's ridiculous to have to install it just so I can trim accurately. I process a lot of speeches and usually have to trim the ramble at the start but I am not able to lip read to get the right spot.
