Request for Audio Channel Selection

I've been wanting this feature for years now; when I'm using ME to encode dailies for my clients, I'd love to have the option to choose which audio channels are included in the output.  When I'm rolling 4 channels of audio on my camera and they're all included in the daily, the resulting audio is hot and clipped and noisy.  I'd love to be able to just include channel 1 in the compression.  Is this somehow possible?

    It would be great to be able to it directly in Media Encoder rather than using Clip > Modify > Audio Channels in Premiere Pro and then sending that to Media Encoder.
