Text or Email Notification for Media Encoder Queue

this is hardly a new idea as I can see threads discusssing this going back years on Adobe's forums, but those threads are locked and closed, and the problem hasn't been solved so I'm here to ask again:

I need media encoder to send me a text or an email when it's done so I can have a life please.

Get it done.

Unfortunately, the Creative Cloude app is no longer available in the Android Store. How am I supposed to receive notifications from Media Encoder in the future if the app intended for this purpose is no longer officially available? I already noticed this before the update to 2025. But I wanted to address it after the update to see if the option is still available in the current version.

weird I tried to delete my last post, but no option to, so sorry for shooting from the hip.

Gave Media Encoder notifications a second try and this time it DID ping my phone on the queue finishing which is perfect. It also managed to hardware encode my clips without losing sync (been solving that one with rendering in software vs my GPU/Metal, but that slows down the whole computer).

it would still be better to not have the Adobe CC app in the chain, but I wanted notifications and they appear to be working so YAY!

ok, so I updated to the newest versions of Premier and Media Encoder and downloaded the CC App to my phone.

Good things from these updates: Premier seems to load without issue now (Up till this morning I had Premier crashing 100% of the time on load, unless I loaded an empty project first)

The notifications go only to the creative cloud app and appear silently.

This isn't helpful, I need the notification to NOTIFY ME IN AN OBNOXIOUS AND OBVIOUS PUSHY WAY. Otherwise it's a tree falling in the forest.

Just please give us email and/or SMS notifications, simple straightforward, no nonsense, no railroading users into having to use Adobe's app (I mean this is ok, but the app isn't making a sound or making the notification known, so what's the point?).

Thanks for your time.

Whoops; sorry. I've fixed the link.

I get your point about marking this as solved, since it's not exactly what you're asking for. For now, I'll just take off the status entirely. Perhaps you can try out the notification feature and let me know what you think.

Regards,

Fergus

can you post a link to what you mean? the link you posted loops back to this thread.

Also marking this as solved is a touch disingenuous, saying that Adobe isn't interested in solving this isn't solving the problem, it's cutting off the complaint...

Sending notifications is already available in both Media Encoder and After Effects:

I know you're asking for something a little different - email or text - but we're not currently planning on implementing those notifications. Of course, if a request for that gets enough upvotes, we'll reconsider!

Fergus
