Support for using surface relief and other layers as custom mask + being able to ajust with no PS

Would be awesome to be able to use layers as custom masks, have often wanted to use a quick noise mask but find it cumbersome to have to make it in designer or photoshop and then importing it to sampler. 

It would also be nice to be able to make quick adjustments to the custom mask layer - (levels or brightness/contrast etc.)

Hope to see it implemented!

      We're currently reworking the "Idea" section of the forum to have a better view on users needs.

       

      If I understand the issue properly, the first suggestion has already been answered with the Texture Generator, am I right?
