I appreciate your answer so much, p53d! There's not much documentation online. Can you also tell me how to rotate the view in different directions? All I can find is "orbit" around the center and "tumble" in one direction. Thanks!!

When multiple objects are selected, Group shapes button appears in the toolbar at the bottom of the screen and in the Layers tab on the right side of the screen; the shortcut Cmd(Ctrl)+G can also be used.
