The browsers are going to end support and end Adobe flash player as well from 31 Dec 2020. We have web application that uses flash player. So, we would like to know, how can we use the application from the browser, without Abode flash? What is the workaround provided by Adobe? Please help. One more question, are this information still valid after 2020: https://helpx.adobe.com/in/flash-player.html ?I called on this number (1800 102 5567), No response from this number regarding Flash. Note: One of the agent suggested me over chat to post here : https://community.adobe.com/ Please provide a work around. Thanks.
Hey, what is the latest version of Flash Player that does not have a kill switch built in? We need some more time to migrate our old Flash application and want to be able to continue playing Flash content in the meantime. I would like to set up a VM with Windows 7 or 10 and the latest Flash Player version that does not automatically disable itself after 2020. I don't know if the plugins differ version-wise in the different browsers (IE11, Firefox, Chrome).
Microsoft posted an article saying that Internet Explorer users will be able to continue using Adobe Flash Player until Summer of 2021 by opting out of applying a special Windows update designed to remove Adobe Flash Player, e.g. for mission-critical exception cases in enterprises. However, I see that Adobe has documented that they will start blocking Adobe Flash content starting Jan 12, 2021. Will that block it also for IE11 exception cases where Flash is not removed by Windows Update?
hello,I use a browser called UR. That's all I know about it. It's not listed as an Adobe supported browser for the Flash Player EOL. If I uninstall Flash Player (as advised), will I need to switch browsers....something I'd rather not do? Firefox and Chrome kept crashing and Opera prevented me from using Paypal. This is why I switched. Thank you.
Hi, really not educated in this field, so sorry if this is a dumb question! I've a small archive of weblinks that direct to pages containing flash animations/games. I have those currently saved as SFW files. I downloaded the Flash Player (as well as a the debugger), and am able to view/interact with these files through those applications. My main concern is, despite having all of this downloaded directly onto my computer, will I still be able to archive/utilize these files after the elimination of Flash?Apologies if this is a redundent or lousy question, I just am trying to be certain in regards to the current situation. Thanks in advance!
Hello Everyone, Firstly in no way should you consider me to ne computer savvy, so when I received an email notifying me that Adobe Flash player would be ending I panicked. I had no idea what I should do, or where to go, or what to replace Adobe Flash Player with and I'm hoping that with all of the intelligent people on this site someone could help me? Thank you
(I know this is... beating a dead dog; but...)All the other posts have been focused on Adobe killing their Flash plugins for all the different browsers. My question is about the CODECs for *.flv files.Does Adobe have a kill switch for their CODEC??? [i.e. In my OLD... archives; I have a large collection of *.flv videos, which I want to convert to *.mp4 and I am wondering how long I have to do these conversions] P.S. In 2006-2015, I was a computer tech doing updates on 300+ PCs. And Adobe was always coming out with a new revision of flash; and killing the previous one, because it was vulnerable! They must have some really crappy programmers to have that many holes in their software!
Hi, we are currently moving our legacy software outside of the Flash player, but we still need a few months to complete the transition. I see that flash content will not be viewable starting January 12. Is there any workaround so we can allow of software to continue running as our company still runs on this technology? Thanks
I have no flash
I have an old flash games site running for years, and still getting traffic. I am looking for the best way to save it somehow, I am guessing it will be non-functional after browsers this year stop supporting flash?
Trouble with uninstalling Flash Player. When I put in my password, it is wrong but I cant get to where I can change it for this account.
I speak to you as (hopefully) a fellow historian, an artist, and a storyteller, about Flash and the hidden gems on the brink of being spirited away. I understand perhaps your reasoning behind why you must have Adobe Flash be no more, but surely there's a way that Flash can be saved for future generations? Such as making a Flash Player (if there's not one already), so people (of new and old) can view people's stories, programs, and such? I know that people can convert it from flash to the new stuff that your using and such, but sadly there's people that are no longer around to do so. For better or for worse you don't have to have it where people can still make Flash-related stuff, just the ability to run them. I ask, because I do like to think of myself as having a historian side of me, and just watching all the fantasic stories and very helpful programs die is heartwrenching. If I recall correctly I've heard some important programs that use Flash are programs that help with m
With the end of support for the flash player and the recommendation to remove the plugin from computers, how are the applications developed in action script that were exported as executables, at the beginning, in flash 8? Would anyone know if these executables would also stop working?
Hi,I try to download SWF Investigator , but i get the error , "try to obtaining a new installer file from the application auther".could you please help .Thanks
Hi,I'm curious why Adobe stopped developing this technology and decided to shut it down in 2020?
I need suggestions for adobe flash player for windows 10. i.e. websites where I can DL new players. Do I have to do a "cloud" something? I want to just go to a companies web site and get a new replacement player.Thank you.Lois G.
I have some flash games that I downloaded and enjoy playing from time to time. I want to gather the latest version of everything so I can maintain my ability to play these games in the future. I noticed a mention of a stand alone flash player which would be perfect for this purpose. So, is the flash player projector the stand alone version? Also, anything else that might be suggested for me to download and add to my backup to maintain the ability to play these legacy games? (I know there is no recomendation for playing stuff off the internet due to security, but I'm playing downloaded local files, something that was strangely inhibited)
Will Adobe Professional CS5.5 work locally on my machine after 12/31/2020 if I uninstall Adobe Flash Player as instructed? Thanks,James

In Mac OS 10.13.6 High Sierra, when I try to uninstall Flash Player, after opening the Uninstaller and clicking on Uninstall, then I have to enter my computer password. As soon as I do that, I get the little colored rotating ball indicating the app is not responding, and the only choice is to Force Quit.I suppose the root of the problem could be this: I already uninstalled Flash Player, but I think I did that after upgrading to OS 11 Big Sur last month. But I had problems with Big Sur, so today I downgraded back to High Sierra by restoring from Time Machine, so I've gone back in time to when I hadn't yet uninstalled Flash Player. OR alternatively, I may have uninstalled while still using High Sierra, but when I restored from Time Machine it was not to my last backup (because restoring did not work the first time I tried) but to an earlier backup from October, prior to having uninstalled Flash Player.I hope I can get some help.Thank you.
Yesterday Firefox decided to remove the Flash while I was in the middle of listening to a concert online. I didn't realize this happened but I lost all sound. I tried to troubleshoot to no avail and that's when I discovered that Flash had been removed. I reinstalled it and the music continued. In the meantime I did look at something in the Edge browser which I don't prefer and there was sound there. So is there something with Firefox that will not work when Flash goes away? Can you shed some light on this for me please? I also asked this to the Firefox community but I have received no replies yet.Your help is much appreciated.Thanks.
Yesterday I got a popup from Adobe in regard to uninstalling Flash Player. The popup had a button to uninstall Flash Player. Since it was uninstalled I can no longer open File Explorer in Windows. It closes immediately. I also cannot save or open any files in Adobe PS since it also uses File Explorer. I need this fixed asap as you can see it is a critical component of a computer.
Happy Holidays! Adobe's offices are closed from Wed Dec 23 to Mon Jan 4. These user-to-user support forums will still be available as a courtesy, but Adobe staff are less likely to respond over the holidays. As we approach the end of life for Flash Player, a lot of people have questions. Trying to be proactive with EOL of Flash and I cannot uninstall it. I called C/S and they tried a little, but since it is "not supported", she could not help me after the uninstall procedures did not work. I'm looking for input to remove it or should I let it die, and then deal with it? TIA
Team – can you please help with the clarifying question sbelow? Enterprise users have additional options to control behavior as outlined in the Adobe Flash Player Administration Guide. Does it make a difference on how users procured the Flash Player (individual download by end users from the Adobe web site vs. the enterprise having applied for a license for distribution within such enterprise) ?Or is the only difference having many individual installations vs. installations managed centrally by the enterprise?Or in other words. Does the option of an Allow List apply to all users of Adobe Flash Player ? Thanjk you very much for your support.
