I first noticed this issue when I tried to update the creative cloud for desktop application. Whenever I would choose to update the actual CC application, it would bring up a progress bar window title that would say "Initializing Installer" and freeze. In order to get the window to go away I would have to go to Activity Monitor and force quit the process. I then unistalled all adobe products from my mac (including Creative Cloud for Desktop), and tried to do a fresh install of Creative Cloud for Desktop. I am getting the same results as before. I mount the CreativeCloudInstaller.dmg, run the installer application and it freezes on the "Initializing Installer". To re-iterate, no progress is shown on the progress bar, moving the mouse cursor over the window reveals the spinning beachball and in activity monitor it says the process is not responding. No matter how long I let it sit, it never makes any progress. System: Macbook Air 13" Mid 2011 Mac OS X 10.9
