3 hard drive setup
Hi,
I have ordered parts for a new computer but need some help with my storage solution. I will be using a GH-5 most of the time for 4K footage. I will most likely only work with projects of a maximum of 10 minutes. In addition I have two external drives to use for backing up footage, 1x1TB and 1x3TB.
The computer consists of:
- ASUS ROG STRIX Z370-F Gaming, S1151
ATX,Z370,DDR4,3xPCIe-x16,SLI/CFX, 2xM.2, USB 3.1, Aura Sync, SupremeFX
- MSI GeForce GTX 1080 Gaming X
PCI-Express 3.0, 8GB GDDR5X, 1683/1822MHz, RGB LED, Pascal
- Intel Core i7-8700K
Socket-LGA1151, 6-Core, 12-Thread, 3.7/4.7GHz, 95W, Coffee Lake
- Corsair Vengeance LPX DDR4 3000MHz 32GB
2x16GB 3000MHz (PC4-24000) DDR4 CL15, 1.35V
- Be Quiet! Dark Rock PRO 3 CPU
755/115x/2011/1366, AM2/AM3, 1700 RPM, 67~113 CFM
- Corsair TX750M, 750W PSU
ATX 12V v2-4, 80 Plus Gold, Semi Modular, 6+2-pin PCIe
- Seagate Barracuda 4TB 3.5'' HDD
SATA 6.0Gb/s, 5900RPM, 256MB cache, 3.5''
I was thinking of buying:
- Samsung 850 EVO 500GB 2.5" SSD - for Windows 10, Adobe Premier Pro, Lightroom and a couple of games
SATA 3.0, 2.5", up to 540/520MB/s read/write, 6.8mm, 150 TBW, cloning-SW
- Samsung 960 EVO 500GB M.2 PCIe SSD - for projects currently working on.
M.2 2280, PCIe, NVMe, up to 3200/1800MB/s read/write, cloning-SW
Is this a good setup of should I change something? Any other suggestions of other drives to buy?
Thanks!
