Question

3 ssds and a x79-ud5 motherboard ?

I have a gigabyte  x79-ud5 mother board and have been using a hhd for OS and programs, a raid 0 for media, and a raid 0 for scratch, preview, etc.

I am now finding this setup to be abit slow for 4k video so I am upgrading to sata  ssd drives. My question here, if possible to answer, is my mother board has 2 sata 3/6gb connections which I would use for OS drive and Media drive since these go direct to the intel x79 chipset. The other sata 6gb connections use marvel chipset and go through a pci express bus. Will it be ok to use the marvell sata for scratch even though some say it is a lil slower? Trying to avoid a bottle neck here.

Thank you for your ears.

David
