5 times faster timeline editing under what circumstances?

Under what circumstances does the 2024 release of Premiere Pro have "five times faster timeline editing"?

 

I just updated and timeline editing is exactly 100% as slow as it was before..

 

Admitedly my system is a little bit dated at this point, I was hoping for 1 or 2 times faster timeline editing but instead got a solid 0 times faster..

 

Was this nothing more than marketing? Or is it only with a very specific build that there is any improvement?

    Hi, sometimes, it is a better case for instance with a peculiar optimization of a given combo of CPU/GPU, OS, driver version; and if you are not running it, you will not experience said optimization.

    I've noticed that interacting with Premiere Pro is smoother, but rendering is still the same.

    Being on an older machine, are you using a Smart Rendering format?
