Advice to get fastest PP performance with imac 27inch

Hi All,

I've recently bought a new imac 27inch, spec below.

I am a relative newby to PP, and enjoy editing with some layers on the footage such as black and white, and a grain as a make a sequence, and refine.

One of the reasons for purcashing the imac was for quicker render in to out, when I am moving and editing clips.

Please can someone give me the best preference settings for PP and my mac preferences too, to get the best perfomrance out of the machine and the software?

I'm aware not to run most other software such as spotify, and google chrome while working in PP, as these slow PP down.
